Ok, so these little guys don’t look overly inspiring, but they do taste delish. They are super easy to make and have a simple flavour, perfect for fussy eaters or babies starting out.


Brown Rice Patty


  • 1 ½ cup Cooked Brown rice

  • 1 Egg

  • ¼ cup Parmesan cheese

  • 1 pinch Salt (optional)


  1. Beat egg in a bowl, add the brown rice and Parmesan.

  2. Mix it all together and heat a frying pan with a little oil of choice (we use butter).

  3. Dollop the brown rice mixture onto the pan and cook for a few minutes each side.

  4. Serve with some steamed veg such as carrots and broccoli.

*You can also serve with some protein such as lentils, fish or chicken nuggets, but the egg holds some protein for your little one.
