Baby Pumpkin Apple Mush

I've never shared baby food recipes as I only started our blog when Frankie was on a more solid diet. With Lex in the picture though, I thought I might show you guys what I'm feeding him too. Just a bit of background. I was going to follow a baby led weening program with Lex, but found he was getting too frustrated and hungry that I decided to give him purees instead. It's actually easier than I remember, and I make in batches so I also have backup #winning.

Recipe

Baby Pumpkin Apple Mush

Ingredients

  • 200g Pumpkin
  • 1 Potato
  • 1 Sweet apple
  • 2 tbs Avocado (use butter if you don't have avo handy)

Directions

  1. Steam the pumpkin, potato and apple till soft (about 10-15 minutes).
  2. Place boiled ingredients into a blender with the avo and blend till smooth.
  3. Spoon into a freezer tray and freeze. Once frozen pop into ziplock bag, ready to defrost and eat up.

Store in fridge for up to 2 days or freezer for up to 3 months.
