Surprise Bliss Balls

Surprise, it’s another bliss ball. Just kidding, these ones are a little different. They have a delicious, gooey peanut butter centre, and have no sugar. The kids absolutely love these and they are a great alternative to chocolate.

Recipe

Surprise Bliss Balls

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Dry roasted almonds

  • 1/2 cup Raw cashew nuts

  • 7 Medjole dates (soaked in water for 5 minutes)

  • 2 tsp Coco powder

  • 2 tsp Water

  • 1/4 cup Peanut butter (sugar free)

Directions

  1. Blitz the nuts together till it’s a chunky crumb

  2. Add the dates and coco powder and blitz together

  3. Add the coco powder and water and blend. You might need a little more water depending and the texture. You want it to stick together.

  4. Lay out some baking paper onto a chopping board.

  5. This is where it gets a little fidely, you’ll get the hang of it by the third ball.

  6. Grab a heaped tablespoon size on the coco nut mixture and flatten in you hand.

  7. This next bit can be a little fiddly, but you get the hang of it. Press a small dent into the middle of the mixture, then dollop 1/2 tsp of the peanut butter into the middle and gently fold the edges to the middle to close the ball up. It doesn’t need to be too neat at this point, just close up the edges so the peanut butter doesn’t ooze out.

  8. Once finished all the mixture, place in the freezer for 10 minutes.

  9. Wet you hands and press the cracks together to smooth the surface. The water helps this process a lot.

  10. Freeze for another 15 and serve.

Store them wrapped up in baking paper in the fridge for up to 1 week or the freezer for 3 months.
